Delightful Canoports Simplicity 6 Veranda Installation Creates Delightful Outdoor Living Space

This project in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex, saw a happy Canoports customer complete the installation of one of our Simplicity 6 verandas. The Sim 6 offers a deluxe design at an affordable price and is one of our most popular systems.
The veranda was installed to the rear elevation with an extra- wide span of 10m and a projection of 2.2m. Due to the wide nature, the Sim 6 required 4 standing legs with an inset of 500mm at each end. The posts were set into the ground by 600mm to provide a robust and safe-standing structure, able to resist wind and snow-loads and deliver safe performance for many years to come.
“We think it was well worth the effort. I even fabricated my own guttering system from the veranda guttering so that the rainwater flows into my existing rainwater downpipe and water butts.”
The 6mm Clear Glass Roof Panels allow for direct sunlight to bathe the sheltered area, and each panel measured 565mm x 2124mm with 17 panels in total. The customer was able to fabricate their own bespoke details into the installation to divert collected rainwater to the pre-existing water butts, highlighting the versatile nature of our designs.
“Overall, it took around and 3 days in total to complete. The video instructions and installation guide were really clear and helpful. I feel competent now, I could probably do it in 2 days if I did it again”.
The outcome is a beautiful, multi-functional covered space capable of hosting a range of outdoor living with seated furniture and a hot tub for sheltered relaxation, all of which can now be used all year-round without fear of the elements.
